This short film was produced as an entry for the 48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge at the Okotoks Film Festival in Alberta, Canada.
Participants were given requirements for the film, after which they had two days to complete the project, from screenplay to final edits.
The requirements that year were:
A theme of artificial intelligence
The appearance of a paper crane
The line 'If I'm not back in five minutes...'
The approach taken here was to create the feeling of a miniature epic, from the cinematography style to the sound and music design.
The plot: humanity has lost a major conflict against artificial intelligence, and live in a state of forced peace. A young woman, who lost her sister in the conflict, attends a therapy session.
