It's the perfect piano room—there's nowhere else like it.
With positionable instruments and comfy lounge seating, the studio has been used for rehearsals, audition recordings, professional recordings, and house concerts.
The studio is strictly limited to a small group, allowing for highly personalised classes, flexible rescheduling and added time, and much more recital time per performer.
Studio pianists enjoy all-inclusive lessons, practice assistance, concert tickets, recording services, studio classes, accompaniment, custom projects, and more.
The studio has produced upper-level RCM and ARMTA medalists, provincial festival performers, and competitors. It is frequently sought out for RCM 10+ exam preparation.
Students at all playing levels are considered, but must fall into one of the following categories:
Comfortably at RCM 6+ by age 10 or under
Rapid early-level pianists age 8 or under
Preparing for diploma exams or BMus auditions

Regardless of age or level, all students must:
Treat their music study as a priority.
Piano progress requires dedication; having too many additional extra-curricular commitments will preclude acceptance into the studio.
Be motivated, focused, and teachable.
Having an open mind and being receptive to musical ideas is important for improving at music.
Commit to daily practice and progress.
Perhaps most importantly, students must be able to practise effectively and consistently. Pianists who cannot maintain a practise schedule will not be invited back into the studio for the following year.

Depending on the year, theory or history classes may be offered in either group settings or as one-on-one classes.
Regular lessons are exclusively offered in-person. For pianists outside of the southern Alberta area, one-off online lessons are considered.
