It's the perfect piano room like no other.
Piano students have represented the studio regionally with exam medalists and provincial festival performers, as well as nationally and internationally in music programmes and in competition.
Be part of a small, close-knit, motivated group. The roster is strictly limited, allowing for more flexible scheduling than in other studios, and shorter recitals where each performer can play more.
Students enjoy all-inclusive lessons, practice assistance, concert tickets, recording services, accompaniment, team building sessions, and more.
With positionable instruments and comfy lounge seating, the studio has been used for everything from professional rehearsals and recordings to music sessions and and house concerts.
We are focused exclusively on classical training. All emphasis is on technique, musicianship, and repertoire from the 17th to 20th Centuries.
Popular and movie music is used for ear training, but is not part of repertoire.
Students at all playing levels are considered, but must fall into one of the following categories:
Comfortably at RCM 6+ by age 10 or under
Preparing for diploma exams or BMus auditions
Rapid early-level pianists age 8 or under

Regardless of age or level, all students must:
Treat their music study as a priority.
Piano progress requires time and dedication. Students should not have many other extra-curricular commitments.
Be motivated, focused, and teachable.
Having an open mind and being receptive to musical ideas is important for improving at music.
Commit to making progress and reaching goals.
Students must be able to practise effectively and consistently. Pianists who cannot maintain a practise schedule will not be invited back into the studio.

No. Each pianist is evaluated individually and there is no guarantee that siblings will be taken on together.
Theory classes are currently not offered except as integration into private classes.
Regular lessons are exclusively offered in-person. For pianists outside of the southern Alberta area, one-off online lessons are considered.
